Our second annual Horticultural Encounter for Landscape Architects/Designers and Landscape Contractors has been a smash hit!
Industry experts came to speak throughout the Encounter. MWELO expert Lance Sweeney’s presentation proved invaluable as he helped to take the guesswork out of hydrozoning and water utilization; author and “Queen of Succulents” Debra Lee Baldwin gave an exuberant presentation about the do’s and don’ts of succulent gardening and Nicholas Staddon gave an overview of new and exciting plant material at Village Nurseries. Kellogg Garden Products discussed best soil for various landscape situations, and Hunter/FX Luminaire demonstrated their night-lighting and revolutionary irrigation technology.
The backbone of the Horticultural Encounter experience is a tour with our New Products Chair, Suzie Wiest. In addition to designing our beautiful vignettes, Suzie takes landscape professionals on a walking tour through the vignettes to answer questions and talk about the plant combinations that are best suited for today’s landscape designs.
Those attending were eager to voice their praise for the events: “This was time well spent! I learned so much.” “I can’t wait to attend next year’s Horticultural Encounter. Suzie is a wealth of information!”
By popular demand, we have added one final tour on Friday, June 2 at 10:30AM by RSVP with Suzie Wiest at 858-699-0442 or email swiest@villagenurseries.com. You won’t want to miss it! This event is for industry professionals only.
